SCULPTURE

A sculpture reveals the soul of a space, and crafts memorable places. With this requisite in mind, ARTQUBE gathers a large portfolio of metal, stone, resin, fiberglass, wood and mixed-media sculptures, for wall art as well as lobby monumental pieces.

ARTIST'S COMMISSSIONING

Giles Miller has built an international customer base thanks to his visionary use of surface materials, from British Airways, Publicis, Selfridges, Ritz-Carlton Hotels to Hermes, Piper-Heidsieck Champagne and the London Design Museum. He specialized in the development of surfaces after a collaboration with fashion designer Stella McCartney. Giles Miller had shown cardboard furniture pieces to her team, illustrating imagery by using manipulating the surface of the cardboard and they subsequently asked Miller to produce a wall covering panel using the same technique. The first show of Giles Miller Surfaces launched during the London Design Week 2010. Strangely, Giles Miller confesses that his interest in design was born out of his fascination for boats’ integrated and adaptable interiors. “The innovative storage and collapsible solutions found on boats has to be effective on a design level to make the most out of confined spaces. These systems are what first catalysed interest in designing spaces for me.”
